Doqarun border terminal is placed in Khorasan Razavi province and in a common border between Iran and Afghanistan. The terminal is located 20 km away from Taybad County, 122 km from Herat and 255 km from holy Mashhad, and is the most crowded border terminal in country.

Significant export and transit goods carriage increase through Douqarun border terminal after political changes in Afghanistan facilitates goods carriage up to a million ton yearly (export – transit) to that country, moreover transit roads construction in Afghanistan territory would tend to goods and passenger traffic improvement among countries of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, neighborhood and also Europe through Iran.
