This terminal is placed in Golestan province 75 km far from Gorgan city and in common border between Iran and Turkmenistan.

The reasons for this construction are enormous Iranian and Turkmen passengers traffic, access to west of Kazakhstan, path shortening for carrying parcels and also Turkmenistan gas export to Iran through liquefied gas carrier tankers.

Currently, optimizing and optimum use of interior passengers’ hall spaces is done to facilitate and accelerate passengers’ traffic. Also, widening and optimizing access road from entrance door to exit door is under completion. Predicted trade and parking complex for formalities of goods entrance and exit are designed in adequate area.
