Since early 1991 that border road opened, infrastructured and asphalted and facilitated accessibility, truck and bus carrying passenger form opposite country to Iran increased significantly and because of lack of any official facilities and custom affairs started its activity by establishing container and tent and became special important as a common and authorized border between Iran and Armenia. Truck and passenger traffic increased significantly after constructing large bridge on Aras River with both charges and led at the same time to Nurduz border terminal be started with necessary and adequate facilities prediction.

Nurduz border terminal is designed in a land with 8 ha area in which passenger hall, disciplinary building, power plant and access areas and parking lots are constructed in about 4 ha. In this plan, passenger hall with infrastructure over 2986 m2 in two floors is predicted and constructed.
New passenger hall equips heating and cooling system, chiller and fan cool, firefighting system and firefighting boxes inside the hall, emergency electricity system which is supplied by generator diesel, central telephony system includes 30 direct lines and 70 extension lines, also urban 3 inches water branch and arborization areas and green space with approximate 5000 m2. This terminal has cost about 24 Billion Rials until now.
